A dermatology injectable is delivered into or under the skin by a needle or syringe, directly to the affected area. It’s used to treat a number of diagnoses, from psoriasis and eczema to acne and deep scars.

Depending on the condition, either a biologic or antibiotic is applied to reduce inflammation for psoriasis patients, modulate the immune system for individuals with eczema, and improve the appearance of cystic acne or long-held scars.

Dermatology injectables aren’t suited for everyone and may carry some risk, including infection, bleeding, bruising, and allergic reactions.
